About

I'm Lorenzo Lodi, an independent technical project manager, software consultant, and engineer based in Modena, Italy.

For over a decade I've helped organizations plan and deliver research & development, software engineering, and technical strategy work — including seven years as R&D Project Manager for a security and defence research and advisory firm whose clients have included the European Commission, ESA, ENISA, and national governments, where I coordinated collaborative research initiatives in multimedia, interactive applications, and emerging technologies. Alongside that, I've spent years building shipped mobile apps and games for clients: from augmented-reality product demos to a basketball management game with thousands of active players.

I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science (Web and Multimedia Applications) from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, along with graduate coursework in interactive and 3D graphics from CINECA. My research on early-warning malware detection has been published, and it still shapes how I think about technical risk today.

What ties it together: I like turning complexity into delivered software, whether that's gathering requirements for a business process, coordinating technical work, or shipping a game people actually play.
